• SHOTOPOP GETS COFFEE MORE STYLISH IN NEW MAXWELL HOUSE CAMPAIGN!

    Monday May 30, 2016 / Share

Shotopop was tasked by W+K Creative to handle the Maxwell House’s very first major brand campaign in the Chinese market. This campaign is aimed to express a fresh rebranding statement that “Good Coffee Can Actually Be Simple”.

To deliver this message in a humorist, cheeky and fun way, Shotopop utilised their two remarkable specialities - paper craft and animation to create a “tangible”world. In the world, there’re two protagonist characters and “Anti-Heros” : Mr. Latte and Mrs. Cappuccino. Both characters embody the current state of cafe culture by pulling off over-the-top mannerisms and attitudes.

In this commercial, Mr. Latte, a rather bold, pretentious and self-obsessed character with Elvis-like hair, takes the lead while combing his foam with a whisk. Maxwell House joins the stage as the fresh and honest voice by literally smashing the current coffee-microcosm with a cup of Maxwell House coffee.

Check out Mr. Latte’s funny move for a giggle with us ;)

Mrs.Cappuccino will be on show in the coming week, stay tune for more fun!
