The past 2 months had been extremely busy and eventful for Nicky Loh.

Thanks to the great trust and support from creative agency BBH Shanghai, Nicky directed his first TVC and it was for Harbin Beer. Photographing real people has always been his passion - everyone has a story to tell and they feel confortable telling it to Nicky. He engages with his subjects in a way that puts them at ease resulting in an honest representation of their individual experience.  He is always respectfully curious about how other people live.

Nicky and the team went on an extensive location scout and test shoot in Harbin for a week before the offical shoot, digging and exploring the real essence of Harbin lifestyle and culture, in between drinking loads of Harbin Beer. 

He managed to capture so many beautiful shots and could hardly fit them into the 30sec. It was a great experience for him and we're sure he's already looking forward to his next directorial opportunity.
